Waterford County is a large subdivision in Chisholm, NSW, with 2,000 residential lots and an overall site area of approximately 242 ha. Moir Studio was engaged in the concept design through to construction administration for the staged development of the estate.

The development contains generous amounts of open space and the project included the design and documentation of a large riparian park incorporating a playground with shelters and seating, wetlands, cycleways, fitness stations and sculptural elements.

The finished park provides a vibrant and fun atmosphere, catering for various ages with naturalistic and prescribed play elements, all delivered within a limited budget. The site contours have been incorporated into the function of the park, with sandstone retaining blocks providing an elevated seating amphitheatre function with views across the playground.
