EVANS HEAD HOLIDAY PARK
Bundjalung, Evans Head NSW
‘Holiday Park upgrade prioritise the iconic Norfolk Island Pines, ensuring careful design to preserve their prominence’
The village of Evans Head is situated on the far North Coast of NSW, at the mouth of the Evans River. It has been a special place for the Bundjalung nation and the Bundjalung people for thousands of years, and more recently, it has become a special place for residents and visitors alike, with a population increase from 2,600 to 10,000 during the holiday season.
Our involvement in the redevelopment of the Holiday Park involved extensive consultation with all stakeholders. The design included the gateway into the site, a cohesive path network through the grounds and amongst the cabins, and screening solutions to ensure privacy.
The row of Norfolk Island Pines on site required specific consideration and care during the project's design. These trees are iconic landmarks in the area, and the location and positioning of cabins, furniture, and services all had to consider their safety and future.
